P&C Association

Gargett Sate School has a very active and supportive Parents and Citizens' Association ( P&C ) who take a more formal role to assist in providing feedback on school policies and activities, additional resources to be used to enhance student learning, and are actively involved in their child's education.

Joining the P&C is a great way to keep informed, to contribute to the quality education of your children, and to make new friends. Your contribution can be large or as small as you can mange, but your support to the P&C is invaluable. As a P&C member, not only are you supporting the school community, but you supported by the school community. You can learn new skills and gain a clearer understanding of how the school operates. This is a great opportunity to share in the schools decision making process and shape the future. The P & C provides and runs  a variety of services to our school community including: breakfast club, tuckshop, school uniforms, fundraising and community events, contributes to the cost of buses for excursions ad swimming; provides resources such as computers, sIpad, reading books, sporting equipment and musical instruments.

Funds are raise through;

  • raffles
  • local rodeo
  • providing morning tea for the Finch Hatton Show society
  • tuckshop
  • stalls at local  community events

 Little Champs PLAYGROUP: We aresponsive to community needs and have adjusted days and times to accomodate families. Playgroups across the Pioneer Valley fluctuation in attendance to covid. From Semester 2 playgroup will be offered on a Friday morning 9am -9:45 am. 
 Tuckshop:  Friday

Breakfast Club: Monday to Friday ( 8:15 am - 8:45 am )

Volunteers

We are always in need of volunteers to help with a variety of community events and fundraising held at school, also with our breakfast club and tuckshop. If you would like to volunteer within our school community please let one of our executive committee members know or contact the school office.
